Hello! My name is Nicola & I'm the gal behind Seaside Daisy Photography. I'm so excited you're here!
I was given my first camera by my Oma when I was a little girl & have been hooked ever since. I spent my teen years working in a photo lab & went to uni to study photography, all while growing up on one of the gorgeous coastlines of NZ.
I'm a huge fan of long summer evenings spent down by the beach, surfing, my two dogs & two cats, my husband, autumn evenings by the fire (including wine & cheese of course!), Taylor Swift, having a cheeky boogie, coffee, and dad jokes. I'm also a huge fan of documenting joyful, romantic wedding days just like yours.
Photography has always been something I love, as well as travelling, meeting new people, & of course love.
Seaside Daisy Photography is the combination of everything I'm passionate about & I feel so lucky I get to do this as a career.

I've been taking photos for as long as I can remember.
My Oma gave me my first camera for Christmas when I was little. It was a film camera, the kind where you had to manually wind the film across after you had taken a photo. I'm pretty sure I still have it.
I love how photography freezes a moment in time so you can look back at a moment and relive the magic.
Seaside Daisy's core values are simple.
I create a space that's joyful and comfortable, where you'll feel looked after from day one.
I've recently gotten married myself so I understand how much goes in to planning your wedding day. I make sure to keep everything transparent and remove any stress from the day so you can relax and enjoy your love filled celebrations.

I'm inspired by long summer evenings spent down by the coast, watching the sunset and how the golden glow makes everything look magical.
My photography style is natural, joyful, and romantic. I love capturing real smiles & emotion. In my opinion those are a couple of ingredients for not only great photos but great memories too.
Every wedding is so different & that's what I love about them. The day is all about you & should be a reflection of your love & you two as individuals. I'm sure your loved ones will have their well intentioned ideas of what your day should be like but just know that it's all about you, & I'm here to help make the magic happen.
We're going to have a lot of fun together & I'll make sure to capture all the special memories of your wedding day so when you look back on the photos in the days, months, & years to come all the joy & love comes rushing back.

I got married to my incredible husband David in Feb '22, it was the most beautiful day & I can't wait for you to have yours too.
Being newlywed I completely understand how exciting (& sometimes stressful) wedding planning can be. I'll be there to support you every step of the way.
When I'm not capturing love stories you will find me hanging out with David. We also have four fur babies; two german shepherds (Dax & Ella) and two birman cats (Bear & Luna). If you're wanting to bring your pooches to your wedding I'll be giving them all the pats!
I also love surfing! I'm still very much a beginner but there's something about being in the ocean that has always made me so so happy. You'll also find me exploring new places whenever I have the opportunity.
I've been lucky enough to travel to some incredible locations so if you're thinking of taking your wedding interstate or overseas absolutely reach out!

On your wedding day I'll turn up after one too many coffees, buzzing with energy to capture one of the most important, memorable days of your lives, and I won’t miss a moment.
I'll arrive at first light to capture you and your squad popping the bubbly & getting ready. Then I'll head over to capture your fiancé getting ready & the groomsmen sneaking a few drinks to calm their nerves.
I'll be there rain, hail, or shine documenting everything about your day, from the getting ready prep through to ceremony, reception and afterparty. I'll be there in the centre of it all when it's needed and a wallflower behind the scenes, photographing moments and details that you might’ve missed, like Aunty Janice tearing up the dance-floor.
My style is mostly capturing candid moments & memories, with some direction during your portrait time (don't worry, no awkward poses here! Just giggles & good times)
